This Week's Theme: Random Sketch Dump!

Kate Jackson from Charlie's Angels.  The most underrated angel?  No idea, I'm not familiar with the show.

 Some thugs that I found photos of at John Kricfalusi's blog.  Pete Emslie made some efforts at caricature as well.

 The Fuhrer himself, with as much loathing as I could capture in his eye wrinkles.

 And a cute squirrel monkey if you're too stressed from looking at Hitler.

Lots of new students and parents on campus this time of year.

Caricatures: Celebrities and Normals

I have still been doing caricatures!  First off is manic comedian Robin Williams.

Next up, American Presidents.  First Harry S. Truman, and then Lyndon B. Johnson.

 Lyndon looks kinda grumpy, like the Bill O'Reilly type.  Truman looks, uh, studious I guess.

Next, some normals.  I captured these fine specimens on the bus.  The guy on the right I scrawled in about 60 seconds (I inked over both drawings later).

And a Bonus John K! Just because.

Sody Pop Doodles

I tried to do some posing with a familiar character.  My goal was to keep the drawings organic and appealing as I came up with gestures and faces from my head.

Sody Pop seems nice and all, but she doesn't seem the smartest, eh?

I have been doing more attempts at caricature lately.  Here are some of my latest efforts:

 Jim Carrey Sketches.  His face is a lot harder to capture than it looks.

Sometimes, it's fun to revisit people by doing caricatures from memory.  Here's a Jim Carrey and that other  guy.

Inking Fun from Mystery Cartoon

The cartoon these drawings are from is one of the first things I remember seeing on the internet, way back in 2000/2001.

 The pencil drawings I found in my sketchbook from 2009, and I inked them today.

 Bonus points if you know the origin!!

Sody Pop vs. Betty Boop, and More

Sody Pop may not be as universally known as Betty Boop, but there is a group on the internet who loves Sody Pop as well.  The first Sody drawing is mine, most of the others John K drew first.

Sody is obviously more athletic in her build, and she's skinnier.

I like how John K never draws her the same way, be it in Aoki Pizza, Raketu, The George Liquor Program, or in Comic Book - but they are all Sody.

Betty Boop has a HUGE head - at least when Grim Natwick drew her. 

She's all wiggly in her first cartoons too - Mysterious Mose, The Bum Bandit, and Bimbo's initiation all have really cool drawings.

Betty is way more curvy than Sody - Betty has thicker arms even.

And lastly, the "more" as promised.

Ant Post

Ants! Been into drawing them recently.  Here are a few of the more graphically detailed ones.

 The one below is based on a Bull Ant.

Happy Mother's Day!

I did this for mother's day this year.

My mom likes pretty things like hummingbirds and hibiscus flowers, so I combined them into one drawing!  It was done using Prismacolor markers.

I hope everyone treated their mothers like royalty this day!

The Pony Saga Continues

More art of you know what! This drawing below took a good while, but it was worth the effort I think!

 The muffin loving pony is called Derpy Hooves - it was a fan name, but the creators of the show ended up adopting it as the official name!

 Some more Twilight Sparkles.

 Some bronies create their own OC's (original characters).  Below is one I particularly like called Radiant Spark.

I drew some ghastly Shy Guy spectre monster type things.
